Project “Professional Future for Young People” in Ecuador (2025)

In December 2025, we supported the “Professional Future for Young People” project in Ecuador. Around one in five young people in the country still have no training or work, mainly due to a lack of career and education opportunities. The project, initiated by Plan International, therefore specifically strengthens the future prospects of young people in the Cotopaxi and Santa Elena regions.
With a donation of € 5,000, we are specifically supporting measures designed to help young people enter a self-determined working life. These include soft skills training, entrepreneurial training and the establishment of digital competence centres. At the same time, the project implements health programmes for mothers and children in order to create stable conditions for sustainable development.
Providing rapid aid in crisis situations – The Emergency Relief Fund (2024)

In a world increasingly affected by natural disasters and conflict, Plan International's Emergency Relief Fund provides quick and unbureaucratic support for children and their families. In 2024, we supported this important fund to help provide much-needed assistance in crisis situations.
The fund ensures that affected people are quickly supplied with essential goods such as drinking water, food and hygiene products. Emergency shelters are provided in crisis areas and protective measures are taken to ensure people's safety. The fund also provides rapid assistance following natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods or tropical storms. It also supports families who have lost their livelihoods as a result of protracted conflicts.

In December 2022, we supported the project ‘Prevent malnutrition! Phase II’ in Cambodia. The aim of the project was to improve the nutritional situation of young children and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers between 2020 and 2023, while at the same time sustainably expanding early childhood development and infrastructure in rural regions.
Thanks to numerous donations, over 1,700 parents and carers were able to take part in training courses on healthy nutrition and early childhood development and expand their knowledge. Twenty-five new preschools were built and four existing schools were renovated. In addition, 4,763 children received medical check-ups and access to clean water and improved sanitary facilities was guaranteed in 3,000 households.
